mass customizing consumer goods

As novel fabrication technologies, such as 3D printing, are being adopted into the mainstream, it is no longer necessary to compromise complexity for utility.  In this project, a tool for designing custom eyewear was made that enables the consumer to specify the product to their exact taste and preferences. A parameterization of the frames was developed in Grasshopper with a simple UI interface. The tool allows for quick and precise exploration of various frame shapes, and the UI is simple enough for a layperson to design glasses that suit their style.
